Sold Out!

2010 Race Date:  June 18 & 19, 2010

Thanks for your interest in the 2010 Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back.  The race is officially SOLD OUT.

Join the Team Captain Wait List HERE and if a team drops out that team spot will be offered to the first team captain on the list. This is not a waiting list for individual runners. If you are an individual runner and want to join a team please visit The Ragnar Relay Series on Facebook.   You can also post your name on the Team Finder section of the message board. Plus, joining the waiting list will give you the opportunity to register for the 2011 Wasatch Back one week before the general public.

Race registration for the 2011 Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back will open the week following the race. All current teams will have first priority to register. Teams for 2011 are expected to sell out quickly, so don't wait. See you at the race.

In addition, volunteer registration and start time requests will be honored in order of team number. Which means the earlier you register, the more likely you will be to receive your desired start time and volunteer shift.

Don't forget to add the Ragnar Relay Las Vegas to your running calendar and receive a custom "Saints and Sinners" medal for running Wasatch Back and Las Vegas in the same year. Register today!

Think of it as a 188-mile party with 12 best friends. Teams of 12 will rock out to live bands, enjoy the wacky participant costumes, and make life-long friends with teammates and competitors. Teams will party along the backside of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains from Logan (85 miles north of Salt Lake City) to Park City, Utah (15 miles east of Salt Lake City).

Running three legs during a 24-hour relay race is much easier than you think. Each team member runs three legs, ranging between 3 and 8 miles. This relay race is physically demanding, but legs vary in difficulty, and runners can choose their legs. This unique relay format makes the Wasatch Back an accessible race for beginners yet challenging enough for the most competitive.

How do you get from one exchange to the next? Each team is allowed two support vehicles. The first vehicle will drop off the first runner, drive ahead a few miles, cheer the runner on, and provide them with water, snacks, and plenty of love. That vehicle will then drive ahead to the first exchange point to drop off the second runner and pick up the first runner when that leg is complete. They will repeat this pattern for six legs until they hand off to their second vehicle. This leapfrogging pattern will continue all the way to the finish line.

In addition to flawless logistics and a beautiful course you will receive:
  • Live music along the course!
  • Tech tee's for all participants
  • Medals for all course finishers!
  • Awards for all division winners!
  • Best decorated vehicle award!
  • Award for the best team name!
  • A rocking finish line party!
  • T-shirts for all volunteers
  •

Thank you for registering for the 2010 So Cal Ragnar Relay. Stay tuned for future emails as the race map is subject to change.

We are currently in the process of petitioning for permits from the City of Malibu which might impact exchanges 12-18. Any questions should be addressed to the race director, Steven Aderholt.

We are confident that this year's race will be a huge success. Preparing for and permitting a slightly adjusted, more scenic and safe route with flawless logistics and an outstanding finish line is our goal, and we are well on our way! The race route should be finalized AT LEAST 60 days prior to race day.

    See you on the course
