Volunteer Sign-Up
VOLUNTEER SIGN UP WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY, APRIL 9TH, 2012
There are two ways to add volunteers to your team:
1.) Team Captains can login and use the "Invite Volunteer" feature on their team page to send an email that invites people to join their team as a volunteer. Once the volunteer has created a user account and joined the team, the team captain or the volunteer will be able to sign up for a volunteer shift from the "Team Page".
2) Volunteers can sign up directly for a shift from this page. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click the "Log In" button at the very top of this page to either log in or create a new profile if you are new to the site.
- Once you have logged in, click the "Volunteer Sign Ups" button on the top right of this page.
- Sign up for a shift and select the team name you are associated with.
Make sure you know the team name for which you are volunteering so that you can associate your service with the right team.
If you need to download your volunteer packet or if you forgot which shift you signed up for, login and view your team page.
Volunteer Prerequisites
Volunteers must:
- Be at least 16 years old and have a valid drivers license
- Be physically able to perform their assigned duties; walking, lifting, etc.
- Provide their own transportation to and from their assigned location
- Wear their official volunteer T-shirt while at their assigned location
- Committ to fulfill assigned volunteer time at assigned location
Donate for Volunteers
Having trouble recruiting volunteers? Want to make a difference in your community? Now you can take care of both:
As an alternative to recruiting your own volunteers, teams may pay to have volunteers recruited for them. All net proceeds from this program will benefit a local charity:
Deadline: June 1, 2012
Required Amount: $120.00 per volunteer
Team Captains can pay for volunteers from the team page. Login.
Teams that have not raised the required amount by June 1, 2012 will be required to provide their own volunteers.
