The Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) is a non-profit organization devoted to expanding, motivating, supporting and celebrating the running community of Chicagoland. CARA connects runners to resources that enable them to run—farther, faster, better, for life.
CARA Road Scholars is an innovative approach to inspiring excellence in Chicago youth. This intervention program challenges teens to train for and complete a half marathon.

3.) Invite Runners
Once you have bought your team, re-login to MyRagnar and click on your team. Once you are in the team dashboard, you can click on the Invite a Runner button to add runners. The team captain has until May 10, 2012 to add the remaining team members to the online team roster.
Please Note:
A late fee will be charged for runner additions/substitutions after the date listed above.
- $10 per runner after May 11, 2012
- $20 per runner after May 25, 2012
4.) Start looking for 3 Volunteers
All LOCAL teams must provide three (3) volunteers to help along the race course (sorry, van drivers do not count as volunteers). Teams are considered LOCAL if they have 1 or more team members within 100 miles of any point on the course.
If no one on your teams lives within 100 miles of any point on the course, contact the race director to receive an exemption from your volunteer requirements.
