MyoMed Ragnar Relay Series Names NordicTrack As 2008 Presenting Sponsor

SALT LAKE CITY, UT | October 25, 2007 - The MyoMed Ragnar Relay Series (www.ragnarrelay.com), the nation’s largest series of overnight relay races, is proud to name NordicTrack as its 2008 presenting sponsor. 

The MyoMed Ragnar Relay Series includes relays in Utah, Arizona, Washington and Minnesota.  Each MyoMed Ragnar Relay is an unforgettable relay adventure in which 12 teammates each run 3 legs ranging between 3 to 8 miles and varying in difficulty.  Teams run a total of 200 miles over 24 continuous hours.  That’s right; teams run straight through the night.  In fact, each teammate runs 1 leg at night with a flashlight or headlamp and reflective vest.  Each MyoMed Ragnar Relay is a mighty challenge, but don’t let that fool you.  With participants decorating their vans, painting their faces and dressing up in costumes a MyoMed Ragnar Relay is more akin to Mardi Gras than a marathon.

As part of the sponsorship NordicTrack will be providing free technical running tees for each participant.  In addition, NordicTrack will provide Warm-up Tents at several points along each MyoMed Ragnar Relay course.  These tents will give MyoMed Ragnar Relay participants free access to NordicTrack treadmills and ellipticals.  These warm-up stations will allow participants to warm-up for their next leg, while also allowing NordicTrack to promote their fitness equipment in a unique and effective manner.  Participants will also be given special discounts and promotions on NordicTrack running apparel and fitness equipment to assist them in training for their MyoMed Ragnar Relay of choice.
